"Betsy" was our foundation bitch. She
appears in the pedigrees of all of our dogs today. Even though we are
outcrossing more in our present breeding program, we expect Betsy to
remain in our pedigrees for many years to come.
Aymes N Raybar's Miss Oceana was bred by
Barbara Parsons and Betsy Getz. We acquired her from Ray and Barbara
Parsons (Raybar) when she was a young adult.
Betsy was bred four times, each time to
a famous and influential stud dog: Ch. Plumcreek Walk On Water, Ch.
Hamrya's Lucky Charm, Ch. Morshor's Majestic Prince and Ch. Elysian
A-Few Perrier. Her last two litters were co-bred by then co-owner Terry
Floyd.
Unfortunately, Betsy got off to a late
start in the show ring and ended her show career without a title. She
did, however, win both majors and 12 points. We remain grateful for her
more important contributions in the whelping box.
