"Jimmy George" is pictured winning Best Bred By Exhibitor at the 1993
AWC National Specialty in Dallas under Lorraine Groshans. Soon after, at
1-1/2 years, he went to live with Diane Arner Motskus (Eclipse Whippets)
in Pennsylvania. Diane finished him easily.
Like his litter brother Chip, Jimmy has made significant
contributions to our breed as a stud dog. Unlike Chip, however, Jimmy
was
a "blender" and not a "stamper." He passed along his own fine
qualities, while imparting to his get the best qualities the dam had to
offer.
Jimmy is the sire of the beautiful multi-BIS
Ch. Eclipse Envy of Sporting Field ("Zoey"), bred by Diane
Arner-Motzkus. Zoey is America's #1 whippet in 2005. She is expertly
handled by Amanda Giles, and proudly owned by Dan Black, Bruno Gideon,
Diane Arner-Motzkus and Debbie Butt.
Jimmy is also the sire of Ch.
Paris Beatrix of Tiber, one of Sweden's top winners in the late 1990s.
"Bea" was bred by Sharon Sakson (Paris) and is owned by Nenne Runsten
(Airescot). Jimmy appears in many European, Canadian and American
pedigrees as a result of the puppies Bea has produced and the success
her puppies have had in others' breeding programs.
